In the twelfth minute Ján Maslo missed the targert after a free kick. About two minutes later Šulla tipped Gešnábel´s shot in a big chance. In the ninteenth minute Šulla caught Ján Maslo´s attempt from a free kick. After nine minutes Gerec did not use Daniel´s pass and missed the target in a chance. In the thirty-third minute Gešnábel used Gal Andrezly´s pass and scored from behind the penalty area – 1:0. About four minutes later Šulla tipped Daniel´s shot.
In the sixty-seventh minute Gal Andrezly missed the target from behind the penalty area. After seven minutes Šulla tipped Qoses attemt in a chance. Subsequnetly guest player Hološko missed the target.
Norbert Hrnčár (head coach of MFK Ružomberok): „From our point of view it was about a healthy sporting revenge for the Cup and about what we heard from all sides that we did not defeat Slovan this year. The boys have been set up to give energy and quality to the match, and I think it was a very good performance on our part. We virtually did not let the opponent do anything. They had a couple of shots at the gate, but only little dangerous. So we worked really well in defensive and offensive. We made enough chances for the result to be even better so that the score is even higher, but the victory is greatly appreciated. We keep our fingers crossed for Slovan to finish third in the league, to extend the season a little. I think we deserved the victory today and it belongs to us by right.“
