In the sixth minute Gerec did not use Qose´s pass and just missed the target. After three minutes Gerec did not use Daniel´s pass and just missed the target in a chance. In the twelfth minute Gal Andrezly did not use Daniel´s pass and missed the target in a big chance. Subsequently Takáč just missed the target from behind of the penalty area. In the twenty-first minute Gal Andrezly missed the target. About fifteen minutes later Hrdlička caught Twardzik´s shot after a corner kick. In the forty-second minute Macík caught Corryn´s attempt. At the end of the first half time Hrdlička caught two Mustedanagić´s shots.
In the sixty-fifth minute Gerec header hit the goalpost after a Daniel´s free kick. About three minutes later Macík tipped dangerous Mance´s shot. In the eighty-second minute Gal Andrezly was fouled in the penalty area. Hrdlička caught his shot from a penalty kick, but the penalty kick was repeated, Gal Andrezly scored and Ružomberok won 1:0.
David Holoubek (head coach of MFK Ružomberok): „We had excellent entry to the match. We were very active, we attacked high. That is why we had the chances we had and I think we should have scored in the first half time. Unfortunately, it did not happen, but it may be a bit better for us because when we are in the lead in the first half time, then we have a big problem with the second half time. So it was a good thing for us to go to the cabin with 0:0 score after the half time. In the second half time I agree with the coach that Trenčín gave more gas to it and we got into a deeper defensive block. Still, I do not remember Trenčín had any chance or shot to the gate. So we defended quite well what we did not do in the previous games. Then the match was decided by a penalty. So I´m very glad that we have confirmed our opponents will not win in our home stadium. I am glad that today we have won a tough game against ahigh-quality opponent. I´m congratulating the boys in the cabin. We need to proceed with that in the next matches.“
