In the fifteenth minute Diaz did not use Mihalík´s pass and Dominik Kružliak blocked his shot in a big chance. After five minutes Macík tipped Kaša´s attempt from behind of the penalty area and subsequently he caught Anang´s shot. In the twenty-third minute Macík caught Káčer´s pass from border of the penalty area. About ten minutes later Balaj missed the target. In the fortieth minute Sluka used Kaša´s pass and scored – 0:1. At the end of the first half time Škvarka hit the crossbar from a free kick.
In the seventy-seventh minute Boženík missed the target in a big chance after a corner kick. About eleven minutes latter Holec tipped dangerous Qose´s shot after a Maslo´s free kick. At the end of the match Králik scored an own goal after Jedinák´s pass and Ružomberok draw 1:1.
David Holoubek (head coach of MFK Ružomberok): „We had quite an interesting entry to the match. The first ten minutes we played bravely, well, I was satisfied, but after that as the coach says, the opponent took the initiative. He was a better team than we were,with chances resulting from that. We did not keep up with the pace of the opponent, so we just worked pretty wellin defense. Still, the opponent had some chances. Before the second half time, we said in the cabin that we had to believe more in ourselves,to show that we could play football, that we were an unpleasant team at home. So we performed better than in the first half time. Of course, by opening the game, there were windows in our defense and also the chance when the boys from Žilina went alone to the goalkeeper. Then maybe because of the fact we wanted to score a goal, we were lucky, not because of the chance, but because of the center, and the match ended in a draw. But I have to say that Žilina is a good opponent, all respect. Nice looking at it. I am so glad we could have played together. We have one more match at their place in Zilina. It won´t be easy, so I don´t know if the draw is fair, but I am taking this point.“
