In the sixth minute Daniel did not make use of a chance. About ten minutes later Ján Maslo just missed the target after a Daniel´s corner kick. In the twenty-seventh minute Gešnábel did not use Maslo´s pass. After four minutes Gešnábel missed the target from behind the penalty area. In the thirty-seventh minute Macík tipped Godál´s header after a free kick. At the end of the first half time Ján Maslo missed the target in a big chance after a free kick.
In the fourty-ninth minute Macík caught Jirka´s attempt from behind the penalty area. About six minutes later Chudý tipped dangerous Daniel´s shot. In the sixty-seventh minute Egho missed the target. After two minutes Jirka just missed the target. In the seventy-second minute Kostadinov missed the target in a big chance. About five minutes later Daniel did not use Kostadinov´s pass and his shot was caught by Chudý.
Norbert Hrnčár (head coach of MFK Ružomberok): „After a physically very demanding semifinals, Slovnaft Cup in Žilina we looked very good. From our side was good movement, aggression. We made a lot of goal chances and we should have reached the winning end. We practically did not allow our oponent anything , except one of our hesitations in the first half time, but they basicallydid not shoot at the gate. From my point of view, we played a very solid match. As I am saying it is a pitty we did not score the winning goal. Now we will have a rest and will prepare for another league round, especially for the top of the cup season and for the Slovak cup final. Personally, I think the cup is neither small nor boring. I know what I'm saying, since I won it as a player. So it has its great value and we will certainly fight for it.“
