In the sixth minute Mráz missed the target. After five minutes Volešák caught Daniel´s shot and in the sixteenth minute Daniel missed the target. About eleven minutes later Volešák tipped Mareš´s shot. In the thirtieth minute Volešák caught Ďubek´s shot. After one minute Hajdúch caught Hlohovský´s shot. In the thirty-second minute Hajdúch tipped Mabouka´s dangerous shot and Škvarka did not make use of a big chance. About six minutes later Daniel missed the target. In the fourty-first minute Letić missed the target. Subsequently guest player Faško missed the target. At the end of the first halftime Hajdúch tipped Škvarka´s dangerous shot.

Ďubek hit goalpost from free kick and Peter Maslo heads to the crossbar. About three minutes later Mráz scored – 1:0. In the sixty-fourth minute Káčer scored – 2:0. After six minutes Mareš missed the target. In the seventy-nineth minute Ján Maslo scored from free kick – 2:1. About nine minutes later Hajdúch tipped Jánošík´s shot and Škvarka missed the target. In the end of the match Hlohovský scored – 3:1.
Norbert Hrnčár (head coach of MFK Ružomberok): „Despite the defeat we showed confident, courageous and disciplined performance. The only thing in which we failed, wasscoring a goal from the chances we had. The domestic players were more effective. The key moment was a situation, where we hit the goalpost from a free kick and subsequently hit the crossbar. Domestic players gave the first goal after a few minutes.“
